From Rainbow Reaper Edonton, NC by Amy Trapp November 1998 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pool Hall Sessions - Midway Omigod!!! I loved this CD!!! Okay, now that that initial reaction is outta my mind, I can move on. As I said about Vivial Sayles, Midway is not my usual type of music. But it's no quite as far off as VQS is from it. It's actually got an alternative rock feel, and it reminds me at times of Counting Crows. Oddly, I'm not really a fan of Adam Duritz, but for some reason I liked THIS, despite it's resemblence. The first song Anne Marie was so be-boppy and catchy, in a way that might normally annoy me, but Midway does it and makes it good. I can't say enough about this CD. If you like The Counting Crows, or any of the roots-grunge music, you will love this and I highly recommend you add it to your collection. You can get it, or VQS through: Abbot Productions PO Box 35558 Richmond, VA 23235 #(804)897-2324 http://www.pilot.infi.net/~sunday email: sunday@infi.net (check or money order) --- Midway - $7.00 per disc; Vivian Sayles - $12.00 CD
